Supporting peonys, delphiniums, dahlias and many other tall plants has never been easier.
Unlike conventional plant supports, Spirals offer greater flexibility within your garden as they can easily be added during or after the flower or plant is grown. Until now, you had to struggle with string, rings or gadgets that require bending the stems and damaging the flowers. Any gardener that has peonys or other flowers with large blossoms realizes that the day they bloom, the next day they will fall over because those big, beautiful blossoms are too top heavy. It is too late to put in a grow-through plant support and even if you had, some stubborn stems just don't stay contained.
Spirals take that awful 30 minute job and change it to a 30 second pleasure. No string, no wires, no knots to tie - just place the Spiral and metal stem into the center (or close to center) of the flower and turn the Spiral into the plant. It gathers the stems gently without any damage. For large clumps or plant clusters, link the Spirals to each other to keep the larger plant together (see Foxglove picture). Spirals and stems come packaged 4 sets per box. Once you try Spirals, you won't be satisfied with any other multi-stem plant support!
Since your plants grow and change size or you have other plants that need support after the peonys have finished blooming, Spirals can be moved and repositioned any time throughout the growing season. Since you can use them on established plants, no forward planning is necessary. If some plants need a taller post, use a bamboo cane cut to the height you need. The Spiral fits right into the hole in the top of the cane and supports the plant as it grows.
This simple but elegant design is made from galvanized steel for durability and rust will not decrease the Spiral's longevity. Over the winter, Spirals are easily stacked on a shelf for use year to year.
